Highland Support Project (HSP) is a service oriented non-profit which specializes in crafting service trips for academic cohorts, church missions, and other socially minded citizens. Their aim is to provide transformative experiences for participants through cultural exchange and community-building projects, with programming driven by listening to the communities they serve and responding to their needs.

I joined HSP in September 2023 in a brand design/art direction capacity to help shape their approach to visual storytelling and communication. They were looking to simplify their brand message, connect with a larger audience, and more deeply express their values of transformation, wellness, eco-thinking & healing through design.

My final designs convey these values through the use of sunrise tones, inviting typography, and calming nature imagery. The HSP logo features the Sierra Madre mountains in Guatemala, which are considered sacred and are frequently visited by service groups traveling with HSP. I translated this vision into HSP’s website, social media presence, and merchandising for donor rewards. This visual language became central to the HSP brand identity, and is seen throughout their website, social media, and merchandise.
